In cooperation with Delem B.V., Netherland, STA developed simulation software for sheet metal bending machines first for a MS Windows based PC and later on for Delem CNC-controllers. The simulation is integrated in VBend, the CAM-system of Delem which easily allows bend sequencing based on imported DXF or SAT product drawings.
The press brake simulation integrated in VBend uses the program machine code (ISO format) and a realistic 3D-replication of the press brake. The simulation features 3D-live tooling of the bending process with dynamic collision monitoring. Collisions between all machine components and the product as well as inter product collisions are reliably detected.
The simulation program is adjustable to most of the machines of the major press brake producers.
